How To Deal With Winter Skin

Good morning it’s still winter, unreasonably cold in LA, and therefore, our skin is a little crusty dusty. Winter skin is the cute term we get to use when the chilly air makes our faces less-than-glowy if you know what I mean. Trust me, as I’m writing this, my skin is both dry and breaking out, which might be why I’m inspired to share some #susty ways to remedy this issue. Read on for a full skin routine with eco-friendly/vegan/cruelty free products that will bring back that glow!

Step 1: Cleanse w/ Oil

This is a PRO TIP people. If your skin is feeling unreasonably dry, try cleansing with oil. Rosehip seed oil is great for this because it draws moisture back into the skin. Try this susty one from Amazon.

Step 2: Moisture mask

If your skin is dry, you need to up the hydration. The best way to do this is a hydrating mask. Most people reach for a sheet mask but that creates a lot of waste. Try this cute watermelon one that comes in an eco-friendly jar instead!

Step 3: Hydrating toner

if you need to balance your skin during the winter, only reach for toners that will keep your moisture barrier intact. The best is pure rosewater or anything with a rosewater base. Try this glass bottled one from Amazon!

Step 4: A final, good ol’ layer of moisture

I like using pure oils because there are no additives and they are super hydrating. Jojoba is perfect as a daily moisturizer; you can get this Virginic one here.
