The Best Vegan Ice Creams On The Market
Most people have ice cream in their freezer, vegan or not! It’s a simple dessert, and honestly, one of the things that people have the hardest time “giving up” when trying to go plant based. But fear not, we aren’t in 2008. Vegan ice cream brands, as well as big-names in the frozen dessert industry, have been coming out with new products left and right. Most grocery stores will have plenty of options when it comes to dairy free. But if you are just starting out your plant based diet, where do you begin? What are the best flavors? What are the healthiest options? Don’t worry, just keep reading to find out! P.S. can you think of a better way to help the environment than by eating ice cream? Win-win!
The ““““““Real””””””” Ice Cream Contender: Ben & Jerry’s Almond Brittle
If you want real ice cream taste and texture, the almond-milk based flavors from Ben & Jerry’s are your best bet. We think it’s probably the loads of mix-ins and heaps of sugar they use to make this super sweet and flavorful dessert so close to their original pints! Our favorite is the Almond Brittle with Caramel; the texture is unbeatable!
The Healthiest: Sorbabes Pistachio & Caramel
This is actually our favorite on the list! Sorbabes is water-based, which is unreal considering the creamy texture of their desserts. With all kinds of nut-butter based flavors, you can’t go wrong!
The Low Cal: So Delicious Strawberry Swirl Mousse
This one definitely tastes low cal; its light, super creamy, and very fruity! We like using this on top of vegan pie or ice cream because the tastes is so airy and pairs well with other desserts.
Honorable Mentions: So Delicious Cashew Snickerdoodle & Coconut Bliss Ginger Cookie Caramel
These two are some of our favorites: with tons of mix-ins and creamy textures, you never get bored of these flavors!
