How To Be Vegan In The Chi
Good morning folks, are you in chi town? Visiting that rather windy city? Or maybe a hardened local who is looking to go vegan? Well boy do I have some information for you. Below, a full day of vegan eating in Chicago. If you happen to visit any of these places, let us know by tagging @thegreenverse on all social platforms or #thegreenverse!
BREAKFAST/BRUNCH
First up, and arguably the most important meal of the day, breakfast. We’ll start off with Kal’ish; this is your classic all-american vegan fare. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner so stop in any time!
If you’re in a sweet mood, they have pancakes and waffles that are divine. And their savory options are unbelivable: breakfast burritos, burgers, scrambles and more. Kal’ish is a MUST!
LUNCH
Next up, lunch. After that hearty meal, let’s pick something light for our midday fare. The best raw vegan food is Chicago has to be from none other than Raw Chicago. The only downside is their overuse of plastic packaging. Bring a reusable fork for sure!
DINNER
To end the day, let us feast at Althea like the bougie people we are. Located in Saks, this is your high end vegan fare. Nothing less than delicious! We recommend the Kung Pao Cauliflower and Cacio e Pepe kelp noodles.
